The chat sends your question and recent conversation to OpenAI to generate a reply. Do not include passwords, bank details or personal financial information.
Your conversation is kept in this page while it is open. New chat clears it from the page. We do not save chat transcripts in our site database. We request that responses are not stored as API response objects; OpenAI may still retain data under its applicable security and abuse-monitoring policies.
ChatGPT sign-in provides a site-specific user ID. We store a hashed version of this ID, a date and request counts to enforce usage limits. The chat does not connect your bank, shopping or other personal accounts. No email address is stored in the usage table.
The limits are 20 requests per visitor per UTC day and 500 across the site. Failed attempts may count. Site hosting and API providers may process technical logs under their own policies.
