What do you get with Amazon Music Unlimited?
Unlimited lets you choose songs on demand, build playlists and explore new artists without music adverts. Amazon also offers HD audio, millions of tracks in Ultra HD and a growing selection of spatial audio. Availability depends on the track, device and plan; the Single Device plan does not include HD, Ultra HD or spatial audio.
The service works through the Amazon Music app on supported phones, tablets, TVs, speakers and streaming devices. Individual Plan subscribers can also listen to one audiobook each month while their subscription is active. That benefit is different from buying an audiobook to keep with an Audible credit.
How to claim the 30-day free trial
- Open the offer. Use the affiliate button on this page to visit Amazon’s Music Unlimited offer.
- Sign in. Use the Amazon account you want to listen with.
- Check the details. Make sure the offer says 30 days free and review the selected plan, payment details and first billing date.
- Confirm if it suits you. Then open Amazon Music and try your favourite artists, albums and playlists.
- Set a reminder. Decide before renewal whether you want to continue paying.
Returning subscribers should check the offer shown to their account rather than assume they qualify. Amazon may display a different promotion. “Pay later” means payment starts after the trial if you keep the subscription; it does not mean the service stays free.
Is Amazon Music Unlimited included with Prime?
No. Amazon Music Prime is a separate benefit included with Prime membership. It offers mainly shuffle-based listening, with on-demand playback available in selected All-Access Playlists. Music Unlimited is an additional subscription for broader on-demand listening and higher audio quality.
Money-saving tip: if you already have Prime, try its included music benefit first. You may find it does everything you need. Do not take out Prime solely for the £1 monthly Unlimited discount without comparing the extra Prime membership cost.
How to cancel before you are charged
If you joined directly through Amazon, open Your Amazon Music Settings, find Amazon Music Unlimited and select the cancellation option under Subscription Renewal. Complete the confirmation steps and check the membership end date shown.
If another provider bills your subscription, manage it with that provider. Removing the app does not stop subscription payments. Keep the cancellation confirmation and finish before your first billing date if you do not want to pay.
Make the trial work for your budget
- Check whether you already pay for another music service and avoid keeping two subscriptions you rarely use.
- Try the service during your normal routine to see how often you actually listen.
- Test it on the devices you use most before committing.
- Write down the renewal date when you join, rather than relying on remembering it later.

Common questions
Do I need Prime to use the trial?
No. The offer includes a price for customers without Prime. Eligibility still depends on the terms shown by Amazon.
Is it free forever?
No. This is an introductory trial followed by a monthly subscription unless you cancel.
Can I cancel during the trial?
Yes. Follow the cancellation steps in your membership settings and check the confirmation for when access ends.
Is this the same as an Audible trial?
No. Music Unlimited and Audible are separate subscriptions with different benefits. See our Audible Standard and Premium free-trial guide if audiobooks are your main interest.
